WA apples and pears on the menu - making the most of seasonal produce

We like to say that there is an apple and pear which will satisfy everyone in the family

Winter’s bounty has arrived

Yesterday, Pomewest’s contracted Promotions Co-ordinator, Noelene Swain of Fresh Finesse, ensured that Western Australian apples and pears are prominently featured in the minds of WA readers in the West Australian through inclusion in the "Buy West Eat Best" supplement, titled "WA on the Menu." This initiative emphasises WA producers and their winter ingredients.

Endorsed by the Honorable Minister for Agriculture, Jackie Jarvis, this promotion highlights that WA diners and grocery shoppers are fortunate to have access to a wide variety of fresh local produce from all over the state. Purchasing in-season produce generally means better quality, superior taste, fewer food miles, and longer shelf life. Due to their abundance, buying in-season items is often more cost-effective for consumers.

We like to say that there is an apple and a pear that will satisfy everyone in the family. Good things come in Pears, Aussie Apples #nosnackgrets @waapplesandpears.
